[dropcap]W[/dropcap]eather in Langkawi was clear and sunny. Langkawi Airport is a small airport. Here we “officially” entered Malaysia after getting our passports stamped. In the stands there were many tourist-package pamphlets; we collected a few. As we got out of Airport we were greeted by travel agent’s representative who gave us a package which included itinerary for Langkawi stay. The greenery, roads and hills are just like we have in Islamabad – the only difference is that Islamabad doesn’t have a beach.
Tour guide then took us to the van and dropped us at Holiday Villa Resort (30 mins drive from Airport) where room was already booked for us so we checked-in. It was evening by then and we were very tired but happy that after taking three flights we finally reached our destination. We were amazed by the villas and their construction and interiors.
Everything about this place was amazing… from Welcome drink to breakfast buffet… from lobby to super-clean rooms huge swimming pool, great location right at the beach and para-sailing service.
If you don’t want to eat hotel’s food, there are plenty of options near this place, especially an Indian restaurant at walking distance. Bike hiring shop is also at walking distance from this hotel; hire it & ride it.
