How to stay at Holiday Inn for under $34 per night OR even less

With 5000+ hotels InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) has presence in over 100 countries. Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza belong to same chain and if you have an account with IHG, you would earn points for stays in any of its divisions and of course redeem in all of its brands. The brands include Candlewood Suites, Crowne Plaza, Even, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hotel Indigo, Hualuxe, InterContinental, Kimpton Hotels and Resorts and Staybridge Suites.

On average, most of these hotels are over $100 when purchased with money. However, I’ll tell you a way to do this for under $34 if you act smartly and timely. Basically you’ll be combining two different offers here to make it much much cheaper.

Buy Points

IHG is offering 100% bonus points when you buy those points between 14-17th February 2017. Log into your IHG account and click here to see the offer. If you’re not registered, get yourself registered first and then click the above link.

Normally, 1000 points are worth $13.50 but with this offer you’ll get 2000 points for same price. The rate gets better if you buy more points, for example, 20,000 points can be bought for $250 instead of $270 (and of course you’ll get 20,000 bonus too). You can buy up to 60,000 miles in a calendar year, but with this offer you can double it.

IHG Rewards Club PointsBreak Offer

With IHG’s PointsBreak offer you can get a night for just 5000 points in many selected hotels around the world. To see full list of such hotels, click here. This offer is valid till 30th April 2017.

A new PointsBreak offer will come after this one expires so you don’t have to book your hotel night right-away, instead you can just buy points before 17th Feb 2017 and then book your hotel later on.

How much a night would cost?

Lets do the maths now.

With 2000 points for $13.50, a single point will cost you little less than 0.7 cents (US $0.00675).

5000 points required to redeem a night under PointsBreak offer would cost $33.75.  A hotel night for such a price is a bargain!

Can it get any less?

Of course, you can even get a night for lesser price.

The least price you can get is when you buy 60,000 points which would cost $690 but you’ll get 120,000 points instead.

At this price, one mile would cost around 0.6 cents (US $0.00575) which means 5000 PointsBreak night would cost merely $28.75!!!

That’s 24 nights for $690. It cannot get cheaper than this.

120,000 points / 5000 = 24 nights!

If you don’t see a lots of hotels in PointsBreak list, that’s probably they’re all sold out. Try the next offer which will be out in 2 months, the most popular hotels sell out within hours, so keep watching out for it and like my Facebook page.
